I may have lied on the internet when I promised I wouldn’t start wearing fall makeup until the season was officially here. But the good thing about the internet is you can say anything and everything. Today’s makeup is not 100% for fall, but I did incorporate fall classics such as soft amber colours on my eyes, and chose a toned down matte finish for the overall look. But the highlight of this look is definitely the lip colour!
My obsession with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Modern Renaissance palette continues, but for this look I chose to stay away from the red tones and focus on the amber/sienna shade. I used Golden Ochre as a transition shade all over the crease, and then lightly applied Burnt Orange in the outer corner, on the crease and dragged it towards the eyelids, without covering them completely. Last but not least, I used the shade Tempera on the inner third part of the mobile eyelids. I’ve been loving filling in my eyebrows using the Benefit Goof Proof, especially now that I’ve gone to a lighter hair colour.
On the lips I used the Kiko Fine Art Eye Pencil (yes, it’s an eye makeup product) in the shade 05 which is a deep emerald green with blue undertones. The product is very creamy so I didn’t use a lip balm to achieve a matte effect, although I would recommend priming lips before applying any makeup product as a general rule.
If you are wondering about the glowy effect on my skin, I used a little drop of grapeseed oil mixed with the Maybelline Fit mE! Dewy+Smooth foundation in the shade 220, and concealed my dark circles using the Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer in the shade Medium-Neutral. I bronzed up my face using the Catrice Sun Glow Bronzer in the shade medium, which I am absolutely in love with at the moment. To highlight the high points of my face as well as the inner corners of my eyes (aka Strobing), I used the Maybelline Master Strobing Stick as a based and added a thin layer of The Balm’s Mary-Lou Manizer.
That’s it for this makeup look post! I hope you enjoyed it and found some inspiration for the coming fall season 🙂 Let me know in the comments what you thought about this makeup and if you’d like to see more looks for fall!
