9 Fall Lip Options for Olive Skin

Hey guys! I’m back from a short but sweet holiday in Spain, which means I can finally get back to blogging! For this post I wanted to share with you some Lip options for the fall that I absolutely love. All of these are drugstore lip colours that can be found in most countries as they are from mainstream or indie brands that ship internationally. But if you’re specifically looking for fall lipsticks for olive to tan skin types, then you have come to the right place.
There are 3 groups of Lipstick shades I gravitate towards in the fall, and finding the right shade in my case is a long and never ending story of trial and error. So if you want a quick fix and are looking for that one shade, then please keep on reading!

Nude lipsticks are perfect for everyday use, especially for the office or school. But you’re on the medium to deep skin tone side of the spectrum, you know it can be quite a mission to find the right nude shade for you. And while I can’t speak for every single tone, these are my 3 favorite nude options for olive skinned people like myself:

Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid in Nude Thrill: This one is not really matte, and is best used as a sheer colour as it can get crumpy if you try to build up coverage on it.
Kiko Velvet Mat Satin Lipstick in Natural Rose: This is my favourite out of the three because it is SO long-lasting.
NYX Matte Lipstick in Eurotrash: My perfect nuse, the colour payoff is almost the same as the natural shade of my lips, but it can get a bit drying, so it’s best applied on top of a lipbalm.

AVANT-GARDE BROWNS
In terms of makeup style, I identify most with edgy looks as they add a touch of individuality and unusual feel. I find that brown shades give that unexpected edge to a simple look, especially if I use a brown shade with yellow undertones. I also love that they are versatile and can go from day to night. My current favorite brown lip colours are:

-Colourpop Ultra Sating Lipstick in Tan: A cool toned brown that still works for warmer undertones in olive skins. The formula is non-drying so it’s perfect for day-to-night wear
-NYX Lip Lingerie in Teddy: Another cool toned brown that actually works for warm toned skin. The formula is simply AMAZING, it is long-lasting and the most comfortable to wear, which makes it my favourite of the three.
-Kiko Pencil Lip Gloss in Mauve Beige: A glossy option if you’re not into satin/matte lip finishes. I love the formula because it allows me to build up colour and control the finish from a sheer to pigmented coverage.

BERRY CHIC
Last but not least are berry shades, which I believe are everyone’s favourites in the fall and winter seasons. Berries are not only great for festive occasions and parties, but they can also work well for casual occasion and give you that effortlessly chic look in daytime. The following are my top choices for this year:

-Teeez Cosmetics Oasis Gem Lipstick in Carat Crimson: Another versatile option that allows control over pigmentation. I love using it with a brush to soften the colour, but it’s also very easy to apply directly from the stick for a stronger crimson colour.
-Colourpop Matte Lippiestixx in Château: This is my go-to vampy lip ion the fall and winter seasons. The formula is rather thick and can be drying, but nothing a little lipbalm can’t fix.
-NYX Liquid Suede in Cherry Skies: This is my current lip obsession hands down, it’s made it to my September favourites and will most likely remain a favourite for a very long time. The formula can be difficult to work with, so for an easier application I prefer to use this one with a matching lip pencil.

That’s it for this article, guys! Thank you so much for reading! I hope you enjoyed this post and found it helpful. I will eventually do a more extensive article on how you can find the best lip colours for your skin tone. Until then!
