Hey guys! First off I am sorry for the long break I’ve taken from blogging, it’s been a hectic week. For today’s blog post I thought I’d show you a quick makeup with a little twist. I know all of you makeup junkies already know about the trick of using bronzer instead of eyeshadow on the eyelids, but for this look I thought I’d use it in a different way to achieve a full eye look, rather than the usual use which is to contour the eyes.
After priming my eyes with concealer, I chose a caramel shade bronzer, which I applied all over my primed eye lids using a flat shader brush. I then blended it upwards and along the crease to avoid any strong demarcations. I then applied a darker but cool toned bronzer on the outer corners of my eyes, bringing it to about third of my crease as well. Next I used a thin felt tip eyeliner to created a thin and short wing, just enough to intensify the lashline. To add some evening-appropriate drama, I added some false lashes, although I think a thick layer of mascara would have been just as dramatic.
The next 2 steps for the eye makeup I usually do after I do my base/complexion. I went back under my eyes with the same warm toned bronzer using a pencil brush, and finally applied a layer of mascara just to darken the lashes, without adding too much length. To do this, simply run your mascara wand along your lower lashes in a horizontal motion.
Next I applied my base using a full coverage foundation and concealer.I am currently dealing with CRAZY dry skin, more than what I am used to, so powder setting was not an option. I used the same cool toned bronzer to lightly contour my face, focusing on the hollows of my cheeks and temples. I also contoured my nose but this is optional. Finally I applied a light layer of blusher on the apples of my cheeks, followed with highlighter on the top of my cheeks, bridge of the nose and cupid’s bow.
Finally, I used a brick red matte lipstick which I first applied using a small precision brush, before building the coverage until I was satisfied with the colour payoff. For that vintage glamour look, I also tried over-lining my lips here, which was possible because my foundation was full coverage, so I knew it wouldn’t look too over the top. What do you guys think?

Because this is an evening look intended to last a long time, I used a makeup fixing spray to set my makeup in place. And that’s it! I hope you guys enjoyed this look and perhaps you may want to try it. If you do, please let me know in the comments! And have a wonderful weekend!
